On March 5th, our bridge building team traveled to Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC for the 2004 NCDOT Regional Competition. They had spent many hours over the past couple months designing, drawing, cutting, gluing, consulting with experts, and even rehearsing. Their balsa-wood bridge entry withstood a very respectable load of 14.26 kg (almost as much as last year's bridge), but the team really came through on the presentation - complete with custom-made props. Their combined scores earned them third place in the competition. Congratulations to the team members: 7th graders Lydia A., Elene C., Alec S., Charlotte D., Eric B., Curt B., Charles S., and Will M.
