Yia'sou!(Hello)
The 6th graders had a wonderful time at the Greek festival on the 4th of September. We took a tour of the church, viewed the history and language exhibits, spoke Greek to strangers, and sampled lots and lots of Greek food. The most exciting part of the field trip was meeting Rip Kastaris who created the mural and sculpture for the 2004 Olympics in addition to this year's festival poster. We also met Maria, the model for his pieces. Note to parents: Your child does not like Gyros!
