Quiz Bowl Team Takes Third

Congratulations to our 7th/8th Quiz Bowl team - they placed a strong third in the North Carolina 8th grade competition. Anchored by four returning members from last year's championship team, the group scored 1077 points, correctly answering 88% of the 100 questions in this year's quiz.

The team also competed in a 19-state quiz bowl competition via the Internet in April. In this contest, they answered 91% of the questions correctly, placing third in North Carolina and 37th in the nation in the 8th grade division. They also made a strong showing in the Knowledge Master Open held in April.
