The 7th grade students enjoyed sampling Ethiopian Cuisine at the Red Sea Restaurant in Charlotte before touring the African Art exhibit at the Mint Museum of Art. The students are currently studying the culture and art of Africa in art class as an integrated unit with their social studies curriculum. Throughout this trimester they will be creating pieces inspired by the collection of artifacts at the Mint Museum and by the beautiful landscapes and animals of Africa. Look for some of their art pieces on display at Main Street Books in Davidson.
