Woodlawn 7/8th Grade Team Wins 2004 Knowledge Master Open | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Archived Events |
The Knowledge Master Open is a contest in which teams from schools nationwide compete via computers. The contest includes 100-200 multiple-choice curriculum-based questions that test the students on a wide range of subjects. Bonus points are awarded depending on how quickly teams arrive at the correct answer. Our 7/8th grade team improved on both their two previous finishes (last year and 2002) by placing first in the 8th grade North Carolina contest - they answered 90% of the questions correctly. They also ranked 4th nationally among schools with less than 200 students. A total of 820 schools competed nationwide in the 8th grade division this year. Woodlawn's team members included: Elene C., Beatrice D., Kenzie H., Tyler W., Austin D., Curt B., Alec S., Matt S., Jenna S., Katie D., Eloise A., Kathleen E., and Olivia P.
