7th graders traveled to the mountains of North Carolina, camping out for two nights and engaging in a wide variety of learning opportunities. They explored life along the chilly Davidson River with guide Rob Domico, viewed elk that have been re-introduced to the Cataloochee Valley, toured Carl Sandburg's home in Flat Rock, and visited a former NASA observatory.
