| Archived Events | The Knowledge Master Open is a contest in which teams from schools nationwide compete via computers. The contest includes 100-200 multiple-choice curriculum-based questions that test the students on a wide range of subjects. Bonus points are awarded depending on how quickly teams arrive at the correct answer. Our 6th grade team placed first in North Carolina by correctly answering 95% of the questions. Nationally, this team placed second in the small-school division (schools under 200 students) and tenth overall (out of almost 400 schools). Our 5th grade team also performed well, placing 6th in the state.
Update: Both of these teams competed in the March KMO as well - the 6th graders improved their score to 804 (96% correct) and repeated as North Carolina champs and 2nd in the nation. The 5th graders improved their score to 665, ranking 2nd in North Carolina as well as 2nd nationally in the small school division.
