Our boys and girls teams kicked off this year's cross country season by traveling to the campus of Augusta Prep for an invitational meet featuring teams from Georgia and South Carolina. Our middle school girls, led by 7th grader Paulina C., placed 6th in the 2.1 mile race. In the middle school boys event, host team Augusta Prep dominated the scoring, with Woodlawn placing second. The boys were paced by 8th grader Sawyer B., who took second place overall in the race. In Woodlawn's first-ever entry in a varsity high school event, 9th grader Kathleen E. shocked the field with a time of 21:11 and a second place overall finish in the 3.1 mile race.
