The Trailblazers visited McAlpine Park in Charlotte to compete with Charlotte's independent schools along with several area charter schools. Woodlawn left several "A" team runners off the roster for this race, due to a rule that dictated no 6th graders could enter the middle school races. Even so, our runners competed very respectably with the larger opposing teams, finishing 6th in the boys middle school team scoring, and 7th in the girls. As was the case in Augusta 3 days ago, Paulina C. paced our girls middle school team, averaging 7:45 per mile. Sawyer B. took the day's top individual placing for Woodlawn with a 4th place finish (6:07 per mile) in the boys middle school event. And Kathleen E. was the first 9th grader to cross the line in the girls varsity race, placing 6th overall and averaging 6:44 per mile. Complete results are published below.
