7th graders organized and ran a hunger banquet on the evening of Sept. 27. Participants were divided into three groups (lower, middle, and higher income), and were given a meal that would be typical of their group. Cantina Zapata donated much of the food that was served during the banquet, and the proceeds from ticket sales (about $250) were donated to Oxfam. The 3rd grade helped count out donations from our food drive during their Life Skills class on the day of the banquet.
