The Knowledge Master Open is a contest in which teams from schools nationwide compete via computers. The contest includes 100-200 multiple-choice curriculum-based questions that test the students on a wide range of subjects. Bonus points are awarded depending on how quickly teams arrive at the correct answer. Our 5th grade team placed first in North Carolina by correctly answering 87% of the questions. Nationally, this team placed third in the small-school division (schools under 200 students) and 22nd overall (out of over 300 schools). Our 6th grade team also performed well, placing 5th in the state (over 400 schools competed nationally).
