In early February, Woodlawn's MathCounts team joined 49 other teams and over 200 students in the Central Piedmont regional competition in Hickory. MathCounts is a national math enrichment, coaching & competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement in every U.S. state & territory. Woodlawn has participated in this competition for four consecutive years - last year's team placed 7th in the region. This year's team posted Woodlawn's best finish ever, and in the process qualified for the state contest in Raleigh on March 23. Congratulations to Mrs. Blackwell and the team!
