In mid-January, Woodlawn held its annual Spelling Bee. 19 students participated and the top three students earned the right to advance to the Western Region Intermediate Spelling Bee for Non-Public Schools (which was won last year by then-7th grader Stephan S.). Woodlawn Spelling Bee Results 1. Frank B. (6th grade) 2. Peyton K. (4th grade) 3. Stephan S. (8th grade) - earned after tiebreaker with 7th grader Caroline W.
