Centre Church Cemetary

After a visit to the Iredell Historical Society, we stopped off at Centre Church Cemetary, a historical site just a couple miles north of Woodlawn. The visit to the cemetery was inspired by our investigative research into the history of Woodlawn Plantation. Once they located the grave sites, students rubbed the headstones of George Stinson (first owner of Woodlawn), Alexander Osborne, Adlai Stevenson, William Davidson and other members of the "first families" of North Carolina.
