Woodlawn placed first in the North Carolina Quiz Bowl 7th grade competition. The team didn't have much time to prepare, but they used their experience from past competitions to help them earn a score of 1050 points, narrowly beating out Asheville Catholic School for the top prize. In April the team took fourth in the state in the Knowledge Masters contest, and also placed fifth in a national 7th grade competition featuring 75 teams from sixteen states. Congratulations to the team and thanks to Mrs. Sarett and Mrs. Armstrong for organizing this activity.
