On May 14-15, Woodlawn students visited the USS Yorktown, a World War II-era aircraft carrier permanently anchored in Charleston, SC. In addition to touring (and spending the night aboard) the Yorktown, we took a boat trip to Fort Sumter, where the first shot of the Civil War was fired, and toured a submarine, destroyer, and Coast Guard ship.
