Woodlawn vs. Lake Norman Charter School

Fast times were the order of the day when Lake Norman Charter took on the Trailblazers on a rainy afternoon in November. Course conditions were far from optimal, but the runners were pumped up as they faced each other for the first time this season. At the halfway mark, the visiting team staked out a commanding lead, holding down the first and third positions. But Matt S. ran a blistering second mile to win the race and set a new course record in the process. Teammate Alec S. ran his best race of the season, placing third with a personal record time. Sixth grader Sawyer B. shattered his personal best time to capture 5th place, and eighth grader Tyler W. nabbed the 7th spot to cement another Woodlawn victory, and a second consecutive undefeated regular season.
