Woodlawn vs. Lake Norman Charter School

Woodlawn took on defending conference champs Lake Norman Charter on a wet afternoon in November. Like the boys event held on the same day, this race was hotly contested from start to finish. Kathleen E. ran well, setting a personal best and breaking the 14-minute mark for the second time this season. But she couldn't hold off the top LNCS runner, who set a new course record with a scorching 13:29. Jenna S. had another solid performance to take 4th place, but the race came down to the next five positions, all of whom finished within a span of 4 seconds! Tirion S. and Eloise A. both broke the 16-minute barrier for the first time this season to place 6th and 8th, but the visiting team held on for a 4-point win.
