Woodlawn traveled to Mac Anderson Park in Statesville on a cool, wet afternoon in late October for the school's inaugural athletic event. The 2-mile course at the park consisted of two loops on a narrow dirt trail. In the early going, ARMS held the top 3 positions, closely followed by a pack of Trailblazers. However, by the midpoint of the race, the tide had turned in our favor. Although ARMS managed to snag individual honors for the race (their top runner narrowly outsprinting Matt S. at the finish), the Woodlawn team showed impressive depth by taking 6 of the top 8 spots.
