Woodlawn traveled to Mac Anderson Park in Statesville on a cool, wet afternoon in late October for the school's inaugural athletic event. The 2-mile course at the park consisted of two loops on a narrow dirt trail. Despite lacking competitive experience, the girls showed poise and patience by pacing themselves well through the 1-mile split. Jenna S. ran a superb second mile to lead the Lady Trailblazers and grab second place. All of the girls posted personal bests, but in the end they were edged out by a slim 2 point margin.
