| 2007 Capital Campaign | |
|
the challenge |
In January, 2007, Woodlawn announced its first-ever capital campaign. The campaign's goal was to raise $1 million in order to help fund a $2.5 million building project. This project included a gymnasium with high school basketball court, stage, and bleacher seating, as well as a classroom building housing 4 classrooms plus a science lab. The gym building will eventually become a cafeteria when additional gym facilities are built in the future. These buildings are designed to be compatible with the existing facilities on Woodlawn's campus, including the 170-year-old Stinson Hall. Donors were asked to make pledges toward the campaign to be fulfilled over the following 3 years. |

the response |
View the large version or small version of a 3-D flyover of the new buildings. The flyovers start with an aerial view (from a satellite image) of the southern half of our campus (Presbyterian Road at the bottom). Stinson Hall (the historic house) and our current four small classroom buildings are visible at the lower right. It then takes you down to ground level, approaches the new buildings from the campus entrance, and flies you around them. Note that exterior colors and materials had not been completely finalized. Thanks to our architects, Adams and Associates of Mooresville, for producing this model.
